When Carrie and Jasper told me what they were planning to do for their country wedding in the grounds of their family farm in Astbury, I was absolutely amazed and so excited! Their 450 guests were going to be treated to the most unique marquee wedding that they had probably ever been to. As farming has been in their family for generations, this was very much a theme of their wedding. However, Carrie and Jasper have a love for skiing, so they decided that ‘apres ski’ had to be part of their celebration!
The construction and interior design of their magnificent marquee took over 2 weeks to complete, all of which I shot using timelapse video by setting up 4 cameras every day for the entire duration.
From start to finish, Carrie and Jasper had thought of everything in fine detail. For instance, the men’s buttonholes were made from gun cartridges, Jasper and his Ushers arrived at Astbury Church on the biggest John Deere tractor you have ever seen, Carrie’s dad had restored a classic car and bus for her and her bridesmaids and Carrie and Jasper had designed an ‘apres ski’ themed bar and nightclub within the marquee that was hidden behind a curtain until its grand reveal in the evening!
All in all, a fantastic couple to work with and a wedding that I will not ever forget!
